Who are you? What are you like?

Understanding your essence can shape your wardrobe and how you present yourself to the world.

When we were asked in our youth, "What are you like?" we could easily answer. We knew we were kind, brave, romantic, sporty, modest, strong, or gentle. These qualities seemed obvious. But as we grow older, answering the question "What am I like?" becomes more difficult.

Why do we forget our uniqueness?

Family, colleagues, friends, or even strangers often expect certain behavior from us. This is especially true between the ages of 35 and 45, a time when women experience significant life changes—switching jobs, quitting, changing careers, returning to work from maternity leave, going through a divorce, starting a business, or entering new relationships. We dive into these changes so quickly that we often forget to ask ourselves: "How do I navigate these changes? Which of my qualities will help me stay true to myself and live this new chapter of my life harmoniously?"

How does knowing yourself impact your career and style?

Understanding your true self helps create an image that not only supports but also enhances you. Your appearance becomes a tool for achieving your goals.

 Let’s look at an example:

Answering the question "What am I like?", a woman describes herself as sociable, hardworking, friendly, practical, simple, wise, and caring.

She is likely to choose a job related to communications, where support and wise advice are important. Her genuine naturalness easily wins over both colleagues and external partners.

These qualities are reflected in other areas of life as well. For such a woman, comfort is one of her main values. Her softness will likely be expressed in her interior design: the home will be decorated in calm tones and filled with cozy, pleasant-to-the-touch textures.

As we know, food can be a means of building connections. This woman is likely someone who knows how to enjoy a meal. If you're used to skipping meals, cutting corners on food, and eating purely out of necessity, invite her to lunch. Not only will she show you the best places, but she will also change your attitude towards food, turning it into a true pleasure.

How does style support personality?

What kind of wardrobe will this woman choose?

·        Loose or semi-fitted cuts — these offer comfort and don’t restrict movement, allowing her to be active and free. Shirt dresses, palazzo pants, or mom jeans.

·        Smooth color transitions — a harmonious and soft look that makes her approachable and creates trust.

·        Stable heels — they help her stay energetic and confident throughout the day.

Of course, for more detailed individual recommendations, factors like body type, lifestyle, and suitable colors are important. But believe me, a person's personality plays a significant role in choosing their clothing as well.

Your style is a reflection of your personality. When it aligns with who you are, it becomes a tool for achieving your goals, attracting like-minded people, and creating the right impression. We live in a world full of stress—create the comfort around you that will become your foundation!

But to create a harmonious style, it’s important to first look within, to remember Who am I? To find those words. This is where I, as an image consultant, am happy to help.

A simple exercise to get started:

Right now, I would like to give you a small exercise.

Take a piece of paper and write a list of words that describe how you would describe yourself. What am I like? You can also step up to the mirror and look at yourself from the outside. Calmly ask yourself Who am I? several times. You might want to say a few adjectives out loud to see if they truly describe you or if they are simply how you’d like to be. Don’t rush.

In the next step, think about the image you're wearing right now: does it reflect the person you've just described? Does it work for you, or against you? Try this simple exercise, and perhaps something new will be revealed to you.

Start your transformation right now. It will boost your confidence, and you'll begin to showcase your uniqueness through style!
